La Cañada Golf Club is located on the Costa del Sol, in the Sotogrande resort, a paradise for lovers of a calmed life, high quality and sports tourism. The municipality of San Roque concentrates a high number of excellent golf courses, like the Real Club of Sotogrande and highlighting Valderrama, home of the Ryder Cup in 1997.

La Cañada Golf Club was established in 1982, non-profit sportive association, which main objective is to promote golf and by a concession-operated, manages the first public golf course in Spain, “The Municipal Golf Course La Cañada”.
The golf course, with a length of 5,841meters from the white tees, has 18 holes (Par 71), nine holes designed by David Thomas and the other nine by Robert Trent Jones Senior.

It´s entertaining and not very long fairways, fast greens, large trees and spectacular views of the Mediterranean Sea constitute an ideal for those who love sun and nature.
In adverse weather conditions when the other fields of the Costa del Sol are temporarily closed our magnificent rain drainage system allows us to have the field open and playable all the way. Its 18th hole highlighted by a large ravine that breaks its route and names the field. Our tees and fairways are Bermuda and greens are bent grass, getting a desired green speed. 

The Club consists of 1000 members, 300 spouses and 400 members´ children. Our members reservation system, allows any visitor to book easily, as our members can only book 24 hours before the day of playing.
Our facilities offer 68000 annual tee times in average, we offer the most competitive market prices. La Cañada is synonymous of good service. Our good quality course and our popular prices place us on the best position of quality-cost relationship.

Open every day of the year, we have a nice weather with an average temperature of 22ºC and with more than 320 sunny days per year.

Our municipal academy, with more than 300 students, is qualified as the first junior academy in Andalucia. We are pioneers with our adapted golf academy, with more than 60 disable students, who receive weekly golf lessons.
